Catherine Wolcott

Catherine Wolcott was the mother of Theodore D. Lampman. The following information about Catherine Wolcott is gleaned from page 421 of the Biographical Record of Linn County, Iowa. Chicago: The S. J. Clarke Publishing Company, 1901. which profiled Henry's son Theodore D. Lampman.

Catherine Wolcott

It is not certain where Catherine Wolcott was born but we do know that by 1859 she was married to Henry Lampman, a native of New York. He had farmed in New York until 1853 and then moved to Branch County, Michigan. After living there for six years (until 1859), records indicate that Henry Lampman and his wife (Catherine Wolcott) moved to Branch County Michigan where they lived for six years (1859). At that time Henry Lampman and Catherine Wolcott Lampman moved to Bureau County, Illinois and later to Stark County, Illinois, near the town of Wyoming. Eventually they moved back to Michigan where he stayed for four years.

After their stay in Michigan, Henry Lampman and Catherine Wolcott Lampman moved to Iowa. They lived in Iowa for four years before moving to Marshall County, Illinois. According to early Marshall County, Illinois birth records and the birth announcements published in the November 28, 1872, issue of the Henry Republican a daughter was "born in Whitefield, Nov. 9, to Henry Lampman." It was in Marshall County, Illinois that Catherine Wolcott Lampman died. She is presumably buried in Marshall County Illinois. After Catherine's death Henry Lampman moved back to Iowa where he lived the rest of his life. During the last days of his life he lived with his daughter Mrs. Ryanary, in Bowlder Township, Linn County, Iowa.

Henry Lampman and Catherine Wolcott Lampman were the parents of Theodore D. Lampman. Theodore was the father of Elnora Lampman who married Chalmer O. Graham. Together they became parents of Clarice Graham who married Arthur Miller. Clarice and Arthur Miller became parents to Helen Miller.
