Roxanna Dalrymple was born in Shelby County, Ohio on August 31, 1838. She was the daughter of John E. Dalrymple and Nancy Plum. She married Preston Midkiff (1836-1905) on July 8, 1855. in Delhi, Iowa. They were married by Justice of the Peace, A. J. Lowe. They became the parents of three sons and one daughter. Roxanna Dalrymple Midkiff died on March 3, 1912 and is buried beside her husband in the Bay Church Cemetary, located West of Delhi, in Delaware County, Iowa.
