This list of "top" books from the past five  years was compiled by members of the Young Adult Literature course at the University of Wisconsin - Stout in the spring and summer of 2010.  Students in each "group" were asked to nominate their "top five" titles -- no repeats were allowed.  Once a book was nominated it was on the list and others were asked to identify an alternate title.
